The Court of Accounts Participates in the Launch of the Fifth Round of the SPMR Initiative and the SAI Performance Measurement Framework Workshop in Istanbul

The Lebanese Court of Accounts participated in the Leaders' Meeting launching the fifth round of the Strategy, Performance Measurement and Reporting (SPMR) Initiative, as well as the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF) workshop, both organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) in Istanbul, Turkey, from 13 to 17 July 2026.

The Court of Accounts' delegation was headed by First President Judge Mohamad Badran, and included Chamber President Judge Zeinab Hammoud, Advisor Judge Katy Chelita, and First Controller Dr. Aida Issa.

This participation provided an opportunity to learn about the latest international methodologies in strategic management and institutional performance measurement for supreme audit institutions, contributing to strengthening the Court of Accounts' capacities and developing its institutional performance in line with international standards, and to consolidating the principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability—ultimately having a positive impact on the protection of public funds and the enhancement of the quality of audit work.
